Techniques

Below are some of the techniques that Limitless Thinkers utilizes to help students expand their learning potential and achieve academic goals. Our tutoring techniques involve building a positive and supportive relationship with the student, identifying their strengths and weaknesses, creating personalized learning plans, and providing feedback and encouragement.

NILD Educational Therapy

NILD Educational Therapy is a comprehensive, systematic program grounded in neuroscience research of the brain’s capacity to adapt and change. It specifically targets cognitive functions, poor processing skills, and weak working memory, which are typical contributing factors to dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia. In an effort to cultivate higher order thinking, verbal, and written skills. This therapy is now accredited by the International Dyslexic Association.

Orton-Gillingham Method

The Orton-Gillingham (OG) method is a structured, systematic approach to teaching reading and language arts to individuals with dyslexia and other language-based learning disabilities. It was developed in the 1930s by Dr. Samuel T. Orton and Anna Gillingham, and is based on the principles of phonetics and the way the brain processes language.

Feuerstein Instrumental Enrichment

Feuerstein Instrumental Enrichment is for anyone who needs to improve their cognitive functions which underly all aspects of learning and behaviour. It is founded on the work of Professor Reuven Feuerstein who believed that all children, regardless of their cognitive ability, could learn with the help of a trained mediator and techniques targeting specific cognitive functions.

Search & Teach©

Search and Teach©, an early intervention program, was crafted by child psychiatrist Archie Silver, M.D., psychologist Rosa A. Hagin, Ph.D., and the Learning Disorders Unit team at NYU School of Medicine. The program, grounded in comprehensive research on diagnosing and treating learning disorders, helps identify and address young learners’ needs to prevent academic failure and related emotional distress.

“The capacity for change exists in everyone, regardless of age or past experience.”
